After announcing her single status, Genelia D'Souza became one of the most eligible bachelorettes in tinseltown and the actress knows exactly what she is looking for in Mr Right.
The bubbly actress who was recently reported to have tied the knot with 'good friend' Riteish Deshmukh, says that excellent communication skills, not perfect looks matter the most to her.
"There could be good looking boys but when it comes to communication, that is what is very very important for me. I am not a hard core person on looks, I think a decent looking guy would be great but substance matters for sure and someone who works for themselves," Genelia told PTI.
The bubbly Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa actress says that she would love to get married and start a family, but right now her career is her topmost priority.
"Right now I might as well work hard. That (marriage) is something I look forward to at some point of time in the future. I think every girl eventually looks forward to that," said Genelia.
The 23-year-old who is shooting here for the Telugu film Orange says that she is looking for Mr Right in between her hectic schedule for both Bollywood and SouthIndian films.
"As of now, I am not in a relationship.. yes this won't break many hearts. I am looking. But there is hardly any time to rest. I love shooting, there is no complains really. I love doing what I am doing," said the actress.
Genelia who has worked with Shahid Kapoor, Imran Khan and Harman Baweja in the past said that she enjoys working with the new crop of actors in the Hindi film industry as they are committed professionals driven by passion for cinema.
"Its amazing they know exactly what they are doing... they come to work and they know exactly what they want. I have the fortune of working with most of the young lot. Each one is unique. There is no comparison but the one thing is they all have the drive," said the actress.
The actress who plays a college student in Orange opposite Ram Charan said that contrary to popular perception, being an actress is not all about glamour.
"Most people think that actresses have the most glamorous of jobs, they really don't know we really work hard. It's not a party," said Genelia adding that there exists a
healthy competition among actresses in the industry.
"Its not like I will manipulate your career or anything, Its about I am going to try and do better and that is the best positivity that we have among the youngsters and
it has made quite a difference," she said adding that her 'girl next door' image helps her a lot.
"My major advantages is that girls like me as much as the boys do, it's something that a director once told me," said Genelia who has two Bollywood films in the the pipleline Hook ya Crook opposite John Abraham and Anees Bazmee's Its My Life.
